Project Flickr – 52 Project – week 15 – Seeing Red!

Ironically the topic for this weeks 52 Project was ‘All Things Red’, which is exactly what this goalkeeper saw having been sent off for dissent.

Having kicked the ball straight into touch, he shouted a very rude word indeed, and the opposing management team reminded the ref that the game was taking place in a public park (where there was a junior game going on nearby, and a kids play-park). The ref called the ‘keeper over who in turn explained that he disagreed with the decision he was about to make….well in fact ‘keeper disagreed on a number of occasions, repeatedly using two words in the process, the last being “…off!”

The thing that made me laugh was a the ‘keepers team mate trying to defend him by shouting “…but ref, he’s got Tourette’s!”

Could be true, I suppose!

First time out with the new toy!

First time out with the Nikon D7000. Got to say I’m quite please with the results.I have yet to use it ‘in anger’ to get the most out of the faster frames per second, but the quality of the images is impressive!

New toy on it's way as I type!

New camera body ordered today. An upgrade from my faithful D80, the D7000 has the faster frames per second I have been looking for. The D80 is starting to show her age (bless her) but thought of selling it are taken over by the thoughts of keeping it for Matthew to use should he get into photography over the next couple of years.

Really wanted to break the bank (or redundancy money) and buy a second hand D3, D3X, or the new D800, but resisted.

I’ll post some shots up here when they have been through post porduction!

Two images that were taken on the spur of the moment, just like the ones of the trees, and that I added as I didn’t have much else to put up….and this week they BOTH made the admin pages of Project FlickR. Really surprised and proud that images I create are appreciated by others, some of which I don’t even know. This gives me a lot of self belief!
